Next was to add a couple of doors which I strengthened with strips of merbau decking. Built some steps resting on a couple of old concrete slab steps I found around the side of the house.
After some searching, I found a double glazed window on eBay for $290 which needed a suitable hole in the side of my shed. You can see in one of the photos above that I preplanned the framing to accept a window which I could trim around depending on the size that I could find.
Window in and clamped for the glue to set. No matter how many clamps you have – you will always run short.
Window finished, trimmed and painted
Looks pretty good, I reckon 🙂 I wanted to keep the window small as the window space reduces the storage available on the inside – and it is bigger than what it looks like from the picture above.
Well, shed is pretty much done. What is a shed without a deck?
I supported one side with a bearer attached to the bricks and cut some slots on the handi blocks to support the outer bearer with some more handi blocks in the center.
I needed to reconfigure the laundry steps to come out on the new deck.
Now just need to continue the decking behind the shed.
